Human Leadership for the AI frontier
This edition is something a little different. More of a roundup of a few things I’ve been working on that I hope will be helpful.
Human Leadership for the AI Frontier
First up, there’s this document (which I hope you can successfully download). It sets out 9 leadership principles for the AI frontier.
Now is a testing time for all leaders and in the absence of ‘best practice’ I wanted to try and codify some important principles that could serve as a compass of sorts based on insights from across our client base and beyond.

Humans in the Loop podcast
The podcast, which I describe as a podcast for thoughtful technologists, is in full swing now. I think I’m over the initial awkward hump and settling in a bit more, but still much to work on.
It’s been hard work but a couple of vindicating moments of late:
Alex Komoroske came on recently (episode is not yet released). When I shared the roster of current and upcoming guests, he described it as the best calibre guestlist of tech thinkers for any new podcast he’s come across.
Kevin Kelly came on recently (also not yet released). Definitely the most high profile guest I’ve had on so far so I was feeling a little bit of pressure to do a good job. At the end of the interview he shared this feedback: I really enjoyed this conversation. You asked a lot of questions that haven't been asked before, which is for me, one of the ways that I get to enjoy a conversation like this. So thank you for asking some fabulous questions that haven't been asked before. I really enjoyed my time here and thank you.
So please go and subscribe wherever you get your podcasts - Spotify, Apple, Youtube, Castbox and if you like what you here then give it a review.
Worth reading this week
Resonant Computing Manifesto is a brilliant encapsulation of a different type of technology we could build from podcast guest Alex Komoroske in collaboration with a number of others.
This very practical view of founder splits by Remus Brett is great because of the data around equity splits.
Our interfaces have lost their senses by Amelia Wattenberger might be the most visually beautiful articulation of an idea I’ve ever come across.
The last days of social media by James O’Sullivan points to something I think many of us can feel - that social media in its current guise feels like it might soon be a thing of the past.
